![]() ![]() It's been inconsistent for me too, only started happening recently. I shouldn't have to wipe all my profile data either just to get chrome to cast! There should be a button on the cast modal to wipe/refresh all necessary chromecast "stuff" on that profile. This tells me that it is a chrome-profile level bug. But the previous profile with the issues stays that way. Switching to incognito mode resolves it, as well as launching a new chrome profile. Restarting browser works as well, but I have a lot of useful tabs open and can't keep doing this every hour when chromecast decides to get stuck. This issue has existed since last year now and, to my knowledge, the geniuses at Google still haven't given us a way to manually refresh it. Everything is on the same wifi network and same band. Casting to Chromecast from the chrome browser on my laptop/macbook is so inconsistent that it makes no sense.ĥ0% chance to either not find the device or spin forever on a previous connect/disconnect or whatever.This issue does not exist when casting from a phone or some other device, so it's not an issue with the ChromeCast dongle itself. ![]()
